We recently reviewed GELID's Silent Spirit CPU cooler and although it proved to be a good capable offering for your money, there was an issue with the fan mount that caused a rather annoying rattling sound (possibly because of it being a pre-release sample) and we couldn't justify giving it an award for this reason.

However, GELID kindly got back in contact with us and arranged to send over an updated retail version for us to re-test and now we have some new results to share with you all. It's just as well we were given the opportunity to test this updated retail sample. Now we know why GELID call it the Silent Spirit.
