Danamics dismisses liquid metal LM10 cooler

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: Jan 27, 2009 12:50 am

I can't say this is all that surprising after having witnessed its highly underwhelming performance, Danamics who (eventually) brought the world's first liquid-metal CPU cooler to market a couple months back has decided to pull the plug on production.

Danamics dismisses liquid metal LM10 cooler

Although the company claims it was only meant to be a limited run, the LM10 just isn't selling well enough and the company recognises that it's not able to compete with current top-end air coolers in the performance stakes.

However, Danamics isn't giving up that easily. They're going to have another crack at incorporating the use of liquid metal into a CPU cooler with a new product (or products) being developed for a hopeful launch later in the year.

Current owners of the LM10 aren't left in the cold; Danamics is offering a 1366 socket mounting kit to all owners free of charge.
