A-DATA XPG 2133MHz modules set SuperPI 32M W/R

By: (more) | Posted: Jan 23, 2009 3:49 am

A-DATA has certainly been rewarded with its efforts to produce some of the fastest DDR3 memory modules available. Their top-end XPG series DDR3-2133X 2x3GB triple channel kit has broken the SuperPi 32M world record when paired with a DFI LANParty UT X58 motherboard.

The record result was a time of 6min 40sec 360ms with the modules clocked up to 2237MHz. Latencies were set to 8-7-7-21, but there's no real indication of what voltage was used to achieve this (couldn't have been too high, or Mr. Core i7 processor would have gone kaput. But admittedly it is LN2 cooled, so anywhere up to 2.0v or so should have kept it at bay).

A-DATA has issued out a press release about this accomplishment which you can find here.
