More price cuts for Core 2 Quads coming

Despite being a decent sized step in the right direction for AMD with its Phenom II CPU lineup, it still struggles to compete with the likes of Intel's good old Core 2 range which has now been around for several years. A further swipe from Intel is about to come in the form of some big price drops across its Core 2 Quad lineup of processors next Monday.

 

More price cuts for Core 2 Quads coming

 

Tech Report managed to get full details of which models are affected and how much they'll drop by. The Q9650 sees the biggest drop, down from $530 to just $322, whilst the more popular Q9550 and Q9400 processors will move down from $316 to $267 and $266 to $217 respectively.
