More price cuts for Core 2 Quads coming
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AADespite being a decent sized step in the right direction for AMD with its Phenom II CPU lineup, it still struggles to compete with the likes of Intel's good old Core 2 range which has now been around for several years. A further swipe from Intel is about to come in the form of some big price drops across its Core 2 Quad lineup of processors next Monday.
Tech Report managed to get full details of which models are affected and how much they'll drop by. The Q9650 sees the biggest drop, down from $530 to just $322, whilst the more popular Q9550 and Q9400 processors will move down from $316 to $267 and $266 to $217 respectively.
