ASUS shows off its new Eee Keyboard

By: (more) | Peripherals News | Posted: Jan 7, 2009 5:36 am

Aaah, reminiscing of the good ole' Commodore days. ASUS has taken wraps off its latest Eee creation today, albeit in prototype form. Say hello to the Eee Keyboard; a full-sized keyboard with the PC built into it.

Details are scarce at the minute but I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about it when CES kicks off tomorrow. From what Engadget has learned about it, it has WiFi and Ethernet connectivity along with a speaker, mic and 5-inch interactive display/touch screen.

What's also particularly nice about it is its highly compact nature and a weight of less than 2 pounds. It can also connect to any external display (with perhaps the exception of DisplayPort). ASUS has promised this puppy will indeed be going into full production.

You can view more photos of the prototype model here.
