G.Skill unleashes TITAN series SSDs

G.skill has hit up the vastly growing SSD market with its new TITAN series of 2.5-inch solid state drives today. Available in 128GB and 256GB capacities, these drives are MLC (multi-level cell) based, use the SATA-II interface and include built-in EDC/ECC data protection algorithms.

 

G.Skill unleashes TITAN series SSDs

 

G.skill claims sequential read and write speeds of up to 218MB/sec and 162MB/sec respectively. The drives have an MTBF (mean time between failure) of 1.5 million hours and ship with a 2 year warranty. Pricing is yet to be disclosed.

 

The official announcement on the new TITAN series can be read here. And G.Skill has also supplied us some test results using CrystalDiskMark and ATTO for each of the two drives, as below :-
