CES and Storage Vision are just a few hours away

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Jan 6, 2009 11:18 am

Every year just after everyone recovers from their New Years hangovers comes the world's largest consumer electronics show. CES is held in Las Vegas each year and is a gathering of many industries. Unlike Computex, CES is open to the public and hundreds of thousands of industry insiders meet with members of the media, analysts and the general public. It is a great time for these companies to introduce product lines and concepts to the world, usually months and sometimes years before their official launch.

This year I will be making my first appearance at Storage Visions, an industry only conference that discusses current and future market trends. I hope to use my time at Storage Vision to gain a better understanding of SSD controller technology and meet up with Fusion-IO to learn more about their new ioXtreme consumer level SSD.

Flight 5197 out of Indianapolis is now boarding and I am less than 9 hours away from my first meeting at Storage Visions. It is time to take a nice seven hour nap.

Stay tuned to TweakTown over the next week as we will be bringing you full video coverage of all the happenings at CES and Storage Visions!
