Intel ramp up X25-M/X18-M SSDs to 160GB

Intel has just announced that it has expended its award-winning X25-M and X18-M SSD family with two higher capacity models, both being 160GB. The 2.5-inch model is now shipping and the 1.8-inch drive will begin shipping sometime next month.

One of the major highlights of these Intel branded MLC based drives is their incredible read and write speeds, sustained at 250MB/sec and 80MB/sec respectively.
