NVIDIA to produce full-featured Atom chipsets

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Dec 17, 2008 3:21 am

VR-Zone has been given the heads up that NVIDIA are working on a chipset for Intel's Atom processors. This will be based off their existing MCP7A chipset and although it is somewhat unncessary for this type of platform, it will in fact carry across SLI support with the ability to offer two PCIe x8 links.

It's also been mentioned that NVIDIA are working on another Atom powered chipset based off MCP79 which will be Pico-ITX based for Nettops and carries support for a single DDR3 SO-DIMM, HDMI, DVI-I, LAN, USB, SATA and more.

We'll bring you more details on these chipsets as they come to light.
