Lynnfield is the smaller dual-cored brother to Core i7 and it's been said that these mainstream LGA 1160 desktop parts will likely hit the market under "Core i5" branding during the second half of next year.

Several preliminary tests were performed with the 2.127MHz processor which has 256 KB of L2 cache per core and a shared 8 MB L3 cache, also leaving its HyperThreading enabled.
