First MID with carrier bundle launches in Taiwan

Intel, Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) and GIGABYTE announced Taiwan's first ever consumer-oriented Mobile Internet Device (MID) telco bundle on Monday which comprises GIGABYTE's M528 running an Intel Atom powered Z500 800MHz processor with a 4GB SSD paired up with CHT's 3G mobile Internet service.

IVIPs from left to right are: Janet Hsieh (famous TV host of Discovery Channel and Intel MID technology ambassador), Chin-Yi Yu (Chairman of Senao), Shiou-Tong Chang (President of Chunghwa Telecom), Michael Chen (Intel APAC Director of Embedded Sales Group and Ultra Mobility Group), Richard Ma (President of Gigabyte) and Han Chang (celebrity and Gigabyte M528 ambassador).

 

This bundle is the first to include a telecom service carrier in Asia Pacific as part of the deal and allows the buyer to get the full benefit and freedom of owning an MID straight away.

 

Taiwanese consumers can preorder their bundle as of December 6th and shipping will commence three days before xssy.
