Ever since news first broke, there appears to be a great deal of excitement surrounding EVGA's Intel X58 powered solution.

 

Is EVGA knocking on ASUS' X58 door?

 

According to this report from bit-tech, with images coming courtesy of the Xtreme Systems Forum, ASUS could be given a run for its money.

 

Images of EVGA's X58 bios, have revealed some rather interesting features that may, just, appeal to hardened enthusiasts and overclockers.

 

Specific vDroop control, PWM frequency adjustment and also an 'Extreme OC' option, useful for extreme cooling solutions and boot temperatures under -50 degrees Celsius, may set EVGA's offering a notch above the competition.
