As we've heard, the fuel source of AMD's newly launched HD 4830 solution, the RV770LE GPU, is pin-to-pin compatible with an HD 4850 PCB.

Fudzilla reports that, interestingly, this has motivated MSI to borrow its HD 4850 PCB, which now lends a hand to the company's HD 4830 offering too.

MSI's HD 4830 flavour, as a result, features a 4-phase power solution for the RV770LE GPU, married up with a single-phase power solution for the onboard DDR3 memory.

This is expected to improve overclocking prospects, amongst other feats, with it being interesting to see just how this translates, into real-world performance and overclocking capabilities.
