NVIDIA six to get preferential treatment?

AIBs could be first in line for design kits, GPUs

| Posted: Oct 23, 2008 4:23 pm

News is still circulating regarding recent claims that NVIDIA, is planning to give six of its AIBs preferential treatment.

NVIDIA six to get preferential treatment?

Fudzilla offers a possible theory, in this report, suggesting that the six AIBs, made up of EVGA, ZOTAC, ASUS, MSI, Palit and XFX, may receive priority when the Santa Clara, CA based company ships design kits, GPUs and so on.

If true, it is surmised that this may lead to NVIDIA's other AIBs competing on a rather un-level playing field and this could force them to, eventually, part ways.

Whether such moves on NVIDIA's part will transpire or not is up to debate, yet is it possible that NVIDIA is striving for quality, over quantity?
