Fudzilla has managed to extract news, during the IDF Taipei event, pertaining to the possibility of Intel working on a lower TDP version of its upcoming Core i7 range.

Core i7 SKUs with lower TDP to debut in 1H 2009?

Whilst a TDP of 130W will be part and parcel of the soon-to-be released Core i7 SKUs, it is believed that new models, featuring a lower value, may appear during the first half of 2009.

A lower TDP will, at least, be a thrilling prospect to enthusiasts and overclockers - Especially if the time scales quoted are to be believed.
