If you're mega serious about your storage space and like to go about consolidating all your drives into a dedicated, neat NAS unit, chances are you've probably heard of LaCie's 4big Quadra; a 4-bay NAS capable of holding up to 6TB of data using 1.5TB drives.

6TB still not enough? LaCie didn't seem to think so; they're now advertising the new 5big Network Attached Storage unit which can take up to five 1.5TB drives, thus offering a highly impressive 7.5TB storage capacity. Of course, there are a stack of RAID configuration choices available, no less than seven in fact.

The NAS runs dimensions of 220 x 196 x 173 mm and offers connectivity via USB 2.0, Gigabit ethernet and three eSATA ports. The 7.5TB model will set you back a hefty $1,900, but for peace of mind it's backed by a 3-year warranty.
