ASUS and MSI jump the gun on Radeon HD 4670 launch

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Sep 9, 2008 6:23 am

Both ASUS and MSI jumped the gun a little early today by releasing pictures and details of their forthcoming ATI Radeon HD 4670 mid-range graphics cards. Both the HD 4670 and the HD 4650 will be released tomorrow but the latter isn't expected to be available for sale right away.

ASUS and MSI jump the gun on HD 4670 launch

First up we get a look at the ASUS EAH4670 and the Taiwanese company will come out with 512MB GDDR3 and 1GB GDDR3 versions. The core clock speeds on both are set at 750MHz and the memory runs at a rather fitting 2008MHz DDR running on a 128-bit memory interface. Both get DVI (dual-link) and VGA output as well as HDMI and as you would expect, use a PCI Express 2.0 interface. Some more details over here.

The folks over at VR-Zone jumped the NDA gun and released some early pictures and benchmarks of not only the MSI HD 4670 but also its little brother, the MSI HD 4650. There are plenty of pictures here and here for you to look at.
