SanDisk has today announced that it will begin shipping the world’s fastest SDHC from next month.
The new SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC line of flash cards, as the name suggests, support write speeds up to 30MB/s – that is 10MB/s faster than the previous SDHC cards from SanDisk and definitely a nice speed boost.
Supposedly SanDisk reckon their upcoming 4GB, 8GB and 16GB Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC line of flash cards will work perfectly with Nikon’s new D90 DSLR as it makes it possible to record 39 images in continuous shooting mode at 4.5 frames per second with a file size of 6.0 MB JPEG L Fine per image.
SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 30MB/s Edition cards are expected to be available worldwide in September. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $64.99 USD for the 4GB card, $109.99 USD for the 8GB card, and a rather steep $179.99 USD for the 16GB card.
