Hello, and welcome to the brand new TweakTown Digital Lounge!

The lines of demarcation between the computer room and the living room continue to intersect and blur. Systems are hitting the shelves which are equally at home connected to the TV or a computer screen. Software is readily available which gives you all the functionality of a DVD player/recorder and PVR, and then acts as a fully-featured digital media library, right at your fingertips.

Additionally, quality media content is becoming ever more available via the internet. Why be locked in to the content supplied by your local providers or fork out lots of dollars for pay TV, when you can subscribe to IPTV and stream the best content from around the world straight into your home? Listen to live radio from the other side of the world!

And why should you have to sit in front of the computer to do it?

We really have reached the point where a computer can manage your entire digital entertainment lifestyle, and here at the TweakTown Digital Lounge you’ll find the hottest new products, the best software and the coolest services from all over the world.

In the Digital Lounge, we’re going to be regularly reviewing what’s new and great in the world of digital home entertainment. We’ll be looking at the best hardware – packaged and bare bones systems, Blu-ray and HD-DVD, media devices and all the support peripherals. We’ll also check out what software is out there to keep your media systems humming – what looks the best, performs the best and gives you all the features you could ever need. Finally, we’ll keep close tabs on digital content – what’s happening in the world of IPTV, who are the main players, what you can expect for your subscription dollar, what the performance is like and what you need to get the most out of it.

So, bookmark this page, and keep checking back for our regular updates!
