WE'VE EXTENDED THIS COMPETITION UNTIL MARCH 31 2006!

It's Christmas time, so that means free prizes for you!

We've teamed up with our good friends at Gigabyte and Intel to giveaway some great prizes just in time for Christmas and the New Year. We've got over a thousand dollars worth of gear to giveaway to you guys!

The theme of the giveaway is Home Theater PC's (HTPC). We want to see some of the wildest and most crazy mods that you yourself have done to HTPC's. We're talking old VCR machines turned into a complete entertainment PC, a sub woofer transformed into a PC or something else totally bizarre that we've never seen before.

We're going to run the giveaway till the end of January 2006, which should give you time to come up with a mod over the holiday season or give you time to prepare pictures of your mod which you've completed previously.

So, what are we giving away?

We have three great prizes to giveaway. We'll have a first, second and third place and the TweakTown lab monkeys will decide which HTPC mods are the best and most deserving of the prizes which we have on offer.

FIRST PRIZE: Intel Pentium D CPU

Pentium D

An Intel® Pentium® D processor-based PC delivers an extra powerful gear when you need it. Accomplish more while running multiple applications, such as editing video while downloading music.

You can find more information about Intel's wicked dual core Pentium D processors at this website.

SECOND PRIZE: Gigabyte GA-G1975X Motherboard (Intel 975X chipset)

Gigabyte 975X

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, VGA cards and other computing hardware solutions, unveils the GIGABYTE GA-G1975X, the first in a series of G1-Turbo motherboards. Designed specifically with extreme overclockers and hardcore gamers in mind, the GA-G1975X-Series exudes performance and represents a fusion of the best industry and GIGABYTE innovations through features such as the highly advanced Intel® 975X Express chipset and GIGABYTE Turbojet technology.

THIRD PRIZE: Gigabyte 3D Galaxy Water Cooling Kit

Gigabyte Water Cooling Kit

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, VGA cards, PC coolers and other computing hardware solutions, today announced the new 3D Galaxy liquid cooling system, the company's first generation water cooler for PC enthusiasts and extreme gamers. The new 3D Galaxy is designed to cool the most advanced high-performance PC processors from both Intel® and AMD with a minimum of noise and risk of overheating with unique features such as LWP (Low Water Protection) and OHP (Over Heating Protection).

Need cool? Find out more about Gigabyte's 3D Galaxy water cooling kit at their website.

Sounds good, so how do I enter?

Entering the competition giveaway is simple. Send us some high resolution photos of your mod, preferably with you in the photo to prove that it is actually your mod and not just one you stole photos of - yes, don't worry...we'll be checking to see if it is actually YOUR mod!

Send your mod photos into camwilmot@tweaktown.com by March 31 2006 - Entries after this date will not be accepted. Anyone in the world can enter the competition and your prizes will be sent to you free of charge.

Remember, the crazier and more wild your mod, the better chance you have of winning. We're also looking for quality as well as uniqueness.

Get modding or send in your photos, all good luck!
