eVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX, (256 MB) Graphic Card

Most people have said due to the massive price difference between the X1800XT and the 512MB 7800GTX, it isn't fair to compare them against each other. We must say though that the Galaxy really does help close quite a large portion of that price difference that we have seen up until now so we are going to compare the two cards against each other to see how the X1800XT 512MB does fair against its green goblin foe, the 512MB 7800GTX.

Fortunately both chip manufactures have released drivers to make use of Dual Core processors so we are hoping for a bit more of a fair fight in our tests today. The 7800GTX 512MB is utilizing the ForceWare 81.95 drivers and the X1800XT 512MB is using the most recent driver at time of writing, the Catalyst 5.12.

By combining full DX8 and partial DX9 support with completely new tests and graphics over the previous version, 3DMark03 continues the legacy of being the industry standard 3D benchmark.

Please Note: Due to recent events with the 3DMark03 series, we are adding results purely for those who are still in favor of 3DMark03. These results should not be taken too seriously and are only added for interest sakes.

We can see in our first test the performance of the Galaxy 7800GTX crushes the X1800XT opposition.
