Since the test system has gone through an overhaul since the last driver performance analysis, we have only tested the latest release against the previous official release. We have moved to the A8N32-SLI which uses the 2 x 16X slots instead of the 2 x 8X slots when running in SLI and to make it a little bit more interesting we have tested the X2 at 2.5GHz to help remove some of the CPU limitation in our benchmark applications.
We have a bit of a mix of cards here with us today including the GeForce 6800Ultra and 7800GT in the form of pre-overclocked BFG Tech cards. To make use of all that PCI Express bandwidth on offer from the ASUS A8N32-SLI motherboard along with all that
powah the ASUS 7800GTX TOP cards will be used in single and SLI modes.
Lets get started!
3DMark03Version and / or Patch Used: Build 360
Developer Homepage: http://www.futuremark.comProduct Homepage: http://www.futuremark.com/products/3dmark03/Buy It HereBy combining full DX8 and partial DX9 support with completely new tests and graphics over the previous version, 3DMark03 continues the legacy of being the industry standard 3D benchmark.
Please Note: Due to recent events with the 3DMark03 series, we are adding results purely for those who are still in favor of 3DMark03. These results should not be taken too seriously and are only added for interest sakes. The lower resolution shows performance improvements on all cards and also at the higher resolution just not as major.
