Overall the Intel 945 chipset platform is definitely a good replacement for both the I925XE and the I915 series. It's up to the manufacturer to put it to good use, and Gigabyte has done that with both these motherboards.

Gigabyte's first I945 motherboard is a great option for someone looking for a cheap board with great features, sweet layout and fantastic overclocking options.

 

Overall we have no great complaints against this motherboard and it competes very well against the more expensive ASUS I955x motherboard.
