SUMMARY: Yesterday ATI released their latest Catalyst driver for users of Radeon graphics cards. The new driver promises plenty of bug fixes but what about performance? Read on as we take a look at the new Catalyst 5.9 drivers compared against the pervious version to see if it's worth upgrading from a performance prospective. We'll be comparing the drivers on a Radeon X550, X700 and X850XT.
3DMark05 is the latest version in the popular 3DMark “Gamers Benchmark” series. It includes a complete set of DX9 benchmarks which tests Shader Model 2.0 and higher.
