We will have a quick look at our test system setup along with our general feelings on the new GPU.

There is no denying that Far Cry is currently one of the most graphic intensive games on the market, utilizing PS2.0 technology (the latest versions support Shader Model 3.0 with DX9c) and offering an exceptional visual experience there is no denying that even some of the faster graphics cards struggle.

 

 

Like we have seen through all our benchmarks at 1024 x 768 there isn't a huge performance difference but when we bump things up to 1600 x 1200 we can see the 7800 GTX shine. One minute we are 10FPS from an average of 100FPS @ 1600 x 1200 a few minutes later we are almost 20FPS over that average.
