nVidia's next big thing - GeForce 7800 GTX (Part 2 - Performance Comparisons) - Benchmarks - Battlefield 2

With the NDA being lifted just over 24 hours ago and our GeForce 7800 GTX sample reference cards rocking up just as we predicted, we are going to have a look into the second part of our article in regards to performance. We will have a quick look at our test system setup along with our general feelings on the new GPU.

Battlefield 2 is going to drop you right into the middle of a 21st century war! The good news is that you have a team of grunts at your side to help you survive the frenzied close-quarters combat. The bad news is that you have to engage the enemy on their home turf, at the world's most dangerous hot spots.

It didn't seem to matter what we did with our Battlefield 2 time demo our results were all over the place - we'll have to wait for some driver updates from nVidia to fix this or a patch for BF2.

While we wont put any emphasis on the scores we get you can see the scores we get and yet we can honestly say that a 7800 GTX is going to offer a better gaming experience then the 6800GT.
