Today we are taking a look at two new Socket 939 chipsets for the AMD Athlon 64 platform from nVidia and ATI. Usually we would compare these two companies in the usual GPU wars but today they battle it out against each other in the form of motherboards with nVidia's feature-packed nForce 4 and ATI's 200 Series. 3DMark2001 SE is a part of the popular 3DMark series. By combining DirectX 8.1 support with completely new graphics (including the GeForce4), it continues to provide benchmark results that empower you to make informed hardware assessments.

 

 

 

Here we can see that the performance of the nForce 4 is slightly quicker then the ATI chipset in both 640 X 480 and 1024 X 768.

 

Let's see if this carries on throughout the testing.
