ATI Catalyst 4.12 Performance Analysis - Benchmarks - Half Life 2

Today we see the release of another ATI Catalyst driver suite (in fact the last release for 2004) and we will be seeing just how they compare against the previous 4.11 drivers. We will be comparing these drivers with our normal array of benchmarks except we have had a few new additions to our benchmark line including Half Life 2 and Doom 3. Until now it really did seem that the new drivers didn't do anything for performance but by seeing the benchmark results above you can clearly see that Half Life 2 gets a massive boost in performance. Moving to 1600 X 1200 we see that the X700PRO is able to break over 100FPS which is excellent.
