ABIT AA8 and AG8 - Intel Socket 775 in Style - Benchmarks - Quake 3 Arena

It is ABIT's turn in the spotlight today as we provide a look into two of their newest motherboards, the AA8 and AG8. Each are designed specifically to work with Intel's new Socket 775 processors along with DDR (on the AG8) and DDR-2 memory (on the AA8). After taking a look at both motherboards we compare the performance of each to determine which the best choice is. Intel 915 or 925X? Let's find out now!

Quake 3 Arena is a real-world OpenGL benchmark that we have been using here at TweakTown for quite a while now because it has proven itself to be one of the best gaming benchmarks around to compare a wide range of different products. Quake 3 Arena is getting very old, but is still one of the best ways of testing video and PC systems for any instability and best performance hence the reason we are still using it today.

While there is a few more FPS between these benchmarks with the massive amounts of frames we are getting (400+) in percentage it doesn't even work out to be 1%.
