Performance Compared - HIS X800XT and X800PRO IceQ II VIVO Edition Series - The Cards - Packaging

Today we have taken a look at the AGP 8x versions of the Radeon X800XT and X800PRO IceQ II VIVO Edition series from HIS. We take a look at both cards and the package and then put them up against each other to find out the retail vendor performance difference of the two fastest graphics chips currently available from ATI.

Packaging

HIS are really trying to push the package of the graphics cards and all for good reason; it is excellent to say the least. We of course get our manual or user guide as HIS have decided to call it, which gives us a quick run down on the card and how to install it. Here we also see a little bracket that goes and replaces one of your back plates for the cooling as it takes up an extra slot.

HIS are really trying to push their software bundle. As far as games go we have a pretty useless Games Collection disk which is full of demos that you can simply download from the Internet anyway. You do get the full version of Counter Strike: Condition Zero which we have seen in the GeCube and ASUS X800 packages. Arx Fatalis is another full version game included. We have PowerDVD and VideoStudio included which is quite common amongst a lot of graphics cards but something we haven't seen in the past is PictureEZ.

We also have a power cable and an S-Video to component cable so you can utilize HD picture and a VIVO cable so you can utilize the VIVO functions.
