ATI Catalyst 4.7 Performance Analysis

Introduction

Today sees the release of the latest Catalyst graphics card drivers from ATI in the shape of Catalyst 4.7. We had quite a lot of good feedback from our first article regarding the 4.5 vs. 4.6 and thanks to our friends from ATI (namely Terry Makedon – thanks mate!) we have the chance to take a look at the drivers a little earlier than usual just in time for the release today.

We will be following the same procedure as we did last time - have a quick look at the release notes and get straight in to comparing them against the previous generation drivers.

So without any further ado, let’s have a look at the release notes and see what ATI is promising for their latest release of Catalyst drivers.
