Pentium 4 moves house - New Socket and Platform surfaces from Intel - Benchmarks - 3DMark2001SE

Last weekend Intel introduced a brand new range of products to the world for its Pentium 4 platform. With it comes a bunch of changes including the new LGA775 socket, DDR-II memory and PCI Express support along with two new chipsets and two new processors. 3DMark2001SE

 

While somewhat old, 3DMark2001SE in many regards is respected more than its newer 3DMark03 brother.

 

 

 

Here we can see the I925X and I915 take over the older I875P. In this test we can also see the integrated graphics of the I915G shows as being a rather good DX7 video processor. While it is designed for DX9 games, don't expect any great speed out of it.
