XGI Dual GPU Benchmarked - Volari Duo V8 Ultra - Benchmarks - Jedi Knight 2

XGI has been in the 3D graphics game for only a little over nine months and already has a top to bottom line of products available from their short list of AIB partners. Today we look at the XGI Volari Duo V8 Ultra Dual GPU graphics card put directly against the 9800 XT and FX 5950. We use a whole bunch of the latest drivers including nVidia's ForceWare 56.64 which is being released today.

Jedi Knight II - VIA Arena

Jedi Knight II, Jedi Outcast is an OpenGL game that many have been playing of late. It has greatly improved graphics over its predecessor and it fully supports advanced shaders, as well as very high texture resolutions and effects. There is one demo included in the multi-player section that is good for benchmarking use.

XGI Performance: XGI comes close to the competition here with only 7 FPS separating it from the top score.

New ATI Drivers: Here we see a nice jump in real world gaming from ATI.

New nVidia Drivers: Nothing too out of the ordinary in speed difference.

XGI Performance: Like above we see the XGI perform quite well, while not beating the other cards it is up there with them.

New ATI Drivers: The new driver has really given us a big increase in performance in JK2 making it almost as quick as the nVidia 5950.

New nVidia Drivers: Very similar score to above. The new drivers haven't seemed to do much for performance.
