XGI Dual GPU Benchmarked - Volari Duo V8 Ultra - Benchmarks - 3DMark 03

XGI has been in the 3D graphics game for only a little over nine months and already has a top to bottom line of products available from their short list of AIB partners. Today we look at the XGI Volari Duo V8 Ultra Dual GPU graphics card put directly against the 9800 XT and FX 5950. We use a whole bunch of the latest drivers including nVidia's ForceWare 56.64 which is being released today.

3DMark 03

3DMark03 is the latest installment in the popular 3DMark series. By combining DirectX 9 support with completely new graphics (including the GeForce FX and ATI Radeon 9800), it continues to provide benchmark results that empower you to make informed hardware assessments.

Please Note: Due to recent events with the 3DMark03 series, we are adding results purely for those who are still in favor of 3DMark03. These results should not be taken too seriously and are only added for interest sakes.

XGI Performance: You really see the XGI struggling here as the 9800 XT almost doubles it score.

New ATI Drivers: Here we see a nice 200 point increase in the new drivers. Let's have a look what happens when we up the resolution.

New nVidia Drivers: With only 40 points separating the drivers it is that small margin where it can move from test to test.

XGI Performance: While still coming last it is closer then it was in 1280 X 1024.

New ATI Drivers: Small 50 point increases here, nothing worth taking into consideration.

New nVidia Drivers: Like above the new drivers are very similar.
