XGI Dual GPU Benchmarked - Volari Duo V8 Ultra - Benchmarks - Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo

XGI has been in the 3D graphics game for only a little over nine months and already has a top to bottom line of products available from their short list of AIB partners. Today we look at the XGI Volari Duo V8 Ultra Dual GPU graphics card put directly against the 9800 XT and FX 5950. We use a whole bunch of the latest drivers including nVidia's ForceWare 56.64 which is being released today.

Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo

Unreal Tournament 2004 is the latest instalment to the Unreal Tournament series. While still using DirectX 8.1 the game has faced quite a big make over and is a lot more intensive then its predecessor. Currently we are only using the demo but as soon as the full version hit the shelves it will be making a regular appearance in future reviews.

XGI Performance: Moving to Unreal Tournament we really see the XGI card fight back giving quite an impressive score.

New ATI Drivers: Very close that you couldn't really say much.

New nVidia Drivers: Here we see a little 3FPS jump in performance. The first notable difference that nVidia has shown us.

XGI Performance: Moving to the higher resolution we see the XGI card take another hit, while it held its ground at 1280 X 960 as soon as we moved to the higher resolution it had trouble keeping up.

New ATI Drivers: No difference in the new drivers.

New nVidia Drivers: As you can see like the new ATI drivers there isn't any performance increase here.
