Thomas in Texas got on the phone with Rahul Sood, the CTO of VoodooPC, recently and quizzed him regarding their new fanless Rage f50 desktop line of products and the company's goals for the future in the performance systems OEM market. Sit back and take a peak behind the scenes of VoodooPC.

More about VoodooPC

For those of you who want to know more about VoodooPC products, we've got a summary of each line of computers they offer:

Voodoo Rage - VoodooPC's main line of desktop computers, Voodoo Rage, are extremely beautiful machines. Each one has the interior and exterior Brushed, Anodized, and Machined (B.A.M.), a feature highly touted by VoodooPC. The Rage machines are all designed to maximize system airflow at minimal noise as the air intake is done with a 92mm "Silent Fan." Optional "Eye of The Storm" Case Windows are available and will put a grin on any Rage owner's face.

Voodoo Rage f:1 - The Rage f:1 systems, while currently sold out, are VoodooPC's line of Desktops with liquid cooling. VoodooPC themselves have a significant investment in the design of the liquid cooling system which has been highly touted by OEM Manufacturers [according to VoodooPC]. Extremists, this is your choice when looking at VoodooPC systems.

Voodoo Rage f50 - The f50 is the fanless design VoodooPC is currently pushing. It is an exquisite system, available in both AMD and Intel configurations and sporting the quietest system you can buy on the market. Anyone who has ears as sensitive as mine and prefers silence from their PC may want to consider an f50.

Voodoo Doll - The Voodoo Doll, a cult figure of the modern world and VoodooPC's small form factor solution. It offers great performance and portability - exactly what one would expect when looking into the ultimate LAN machine.

Voodoo Envy - The Voodoo Envy line is a number of different laptop solutions with nearly one for all the different possible needs one could think of. Each laptop has unique characteristics that can be applied in different environments. Every laptop has the customization options of a System Tattoo, modified configuration, and casing color. Of the unique characteristics in this line, the integrated video conferencing camera, three hard drive option, and Athlon64 notebook stand out the most.

Closing Notes

As far as I am concerned, VoodooPC is a very intuitive company. They realize the common needs of both enthusiasts in the desktop market and high-end business users in the notebook sector. I also received very friendly support when contacting them to interview Mr. Sood and was quickly on the line with him.

In the near future, I will be looking to purchase a LAN-capable PC for the various gaming events held in the great state of Texas and have pushed VoodooPC to the top of the list simply due to the detail and care put into their machines [as far as I can see].

While I cannot outright recommend VoodooPC, due to lack of working with their products, I can and do recommend that you consider their products because of the obvious quality and craftsmanship. Not many people would step down as CEO to get back into the core of their company, coupled with the information and imagery I receive, gives me a positive perception of VoodooPC.

We hope to have some VoodooPC products on our test benches for you soon!
