Synthetic 3D and PC
3DMark2001SE Build 330
3DMark2001SE is by far not the latest 3DMark installment from Futuremark. Combining DirectX 8.1 support with some of the best synthetic game systems, 3DMark2001SE gives a good indication for systems that are not able to run the latest DirectX 9 API.
It may seem strange to use 3DMark2001SE after using 3DMark03 for some time. Simply because 3DMark03 is a DirectX 9 based system SiS 315 drivers are only designed for DirectX 8.1 and are unable to run 3DMark03. Here we see the Excel G550 take the lead over the I-Buddie 4.
PCMark2002 is a completely new, multipurpose benchmark, suited for benchmarking all kinds of PCs, from laptops to workstations, as well as across multiple Windows operating systems. This easy-to-use benchmark makes professional strength benchmarking software available even to novice users. PCMark2002 consists of a series of tests that represent common tasks in home and office programs. PCMark2002 also covers many additional areas outside the scope of other MadOnion.com benchmarks
PCMark2002 shows CPU marks constant across the board. Memory marks shows the Excel G550 taking the lead over the I-Buddie and coming close to the Desktop system.
