SiSoft Sandra 2003 Results
SiSoft Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) 2003 is a synthetic windows benchmark that features different tests used to evaluate different PC subsystems.
As far as CPU results are concerned, performance of the Mobile Pentium 4 processor was quite similar to the desktop processor, in one circumstance it even proved faster.
On the memory side, the desktop system has a distinct advantage over the Dell 8200 since it uses PC2700 memory compared to PC2100.
Finally, in the MMX department, the desktop system had a clear lead over the mobile system again because of the usage of faster PC2700 memory.
As we can see from all three results, SpeedStep had a strong affect on performance when running off of the battery.
