HIS Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card w/ 1120 Shaders Overclocked - Temperature Test

We begin to get down and dirty with the HD 6800 series. First we start with the HIS HD 6850 running a BIOS with 1120 Shaders (vs. the reference 960).

Temperature Tests

The temperature of the core is pulled from MSI Afterburner with the max reading used after a completed run off 3DMark Vantage and the Performance preset.

The extra voltage does push overall heat up. It's no doubt running warm, but we're not worried about it. The cards can handle over 100c, but we wouldn't want that. As soon as we start to hit around the 90c mark we would begin to be a little worried.
