You can basically say that the Ti4200 is a budget, high-end graphics chipset. Its performance is too high to be classed as budget, however, its price is too low to give it the high-end label. This is precisely the reason why the Ti4200 has become so popular - It provides high performance and can be overclocked to near-Ti4600 levels, yet it sells for half the price!
Video card manufacturers have been rather slow in bringing Ti4200-based cards to the market, as most of them decided to introduce their Ti4600/MX440 cards first, with the rest of the chipset range being released a month or so later.
