Real World D3D Benchmarks

May Payne

Max Payne is a new generation DirectX 7/8 game. This game is based on Hardware T&L advancements as well as many other features of the Intel Pentium 4 and Athlon XP.

Here we see the Radeon pickup the pace against the faster clocked GeForce 4. ATi has developed excellent D3D support for their video cards. With all the major DX8.1 and upcoming DX9 support they have turned some heads lately.

Aquanox

Aquanox is the latest installment of our benchmark software. This game is based heavily on DirectX 8 and 8.1 advancements and is designed to stress video cards to their ultimate limit, in all the best D3D benchmark to date.

Again a trend sows the Radeon running just about on top of the GeForce 4 Ti4600. Not bad for a slower clocked card at all.

DroneZmark

DroneZmark is based on the popular DroneZ game engine. DroneZmark incorporates a looping demo and execution engine to test your systems performance.

Again the results show a slide towards the Radeon powered Gigabyte accelerator.
